Seven parishes in partnership
The Diss and District Neighbourhood Plan (DDNP for short) includes Diss Town and the six encircling Parishes of Roydon, Burston & Shimpling, Scole, Brome & Oakley, Stuston and Palgrave. It's one of the very few multi-parish neighbourhood plans being drawn in the UK, and straddles two both Babergh Mid Suffolk and South Norfolk District Councils, with South Norfolk being the lead council. Developing this plan is a complex undertaking, and is led by a steering group comprising representatives from all the areas involved, with the support of Diss Town Council and a local consultancy experienced in the development of neighbourhood plans.
